Geraint Thomas recovered from a crash to remain fifth overall at Paris-Nice as Nacer Bouhanni claimed victory on stage four.

Thomas was grounded by a touch of wheels late in the 195.5km stage as the peloton tackled the Cote de Saint-Uze, but was swiftly guided back into position by his Sky team-mates.

The stage finished in a bunch sprint as Cofidis' Bouhanni, denied victory through disqualification on stage two, took the win, with Rotherham rider Ben Swift sixth for Sky.

Thomas came home in 11th, remaining 19 seconds behind the yellow jersey of Orica GreenEdge's Michael Matthews.
