Mannion Wins Colorado Classic TIme Trial Win

Gavin Mannion of UnitedHealthcare has won the second stage of the Colorado Classic. Aevelo’s Gage Hecht was in the blue jersey and all the other jerseys apart from most aggressive rider, having won the opening stage for this time trial around Vali which consisted of a 16.2km course and was one for the time trialing climbers. Jose Fernandes of EF Education was first down the ramp and first home in a time of 27.48.  Kyle Murphy then finished in 26.59.48 with Jelly Belly’s Keegan Swirbul going into the hot seat with a time of 26.48. Rob Britton then came home in 26.29 and Joe Drombrowski finished in 26.06.69 before his team mate Hugh Carthy from Preston, finished in 26.02. Hecht went down the ramp before Gavin Mannion of UnitedHealthCare became the new leader with a time of 25.41.28. Sergei Tvetcov finished in 25.52 to go provisionally second before Gage Hecht finished in 27.11 to give Gavin Mannion the stage win and the overall lead.
