This article originally appeared on BikeRadar Five years ago Stages Cycling started a trend with left-crank power meters, and today the company began selling dual-sided meters and right-crank meters. The Stages Power LR dual-sided meter is what Team Sky raced during the last two Tours de France, but with a slightly different battery placement on the right crank.ADVERTISEMENT The Power LR offers true left/right measurement, and can be split into two separate meters if the rider desires. The Power LR was announced last fall, and is shipping now. The new Stages Power R right-side meter works just like the original Stages meter by measuring power on one leg and doubling the wattage number. This unit can be a solution for certain bikes where left-crank clearance is limited, such as aero bikes with brake calipers underneath the chainstays.   Stages Power LR and Power R pricing and availability Stages Power LR for Shimano Dura-Ace 9100: £1,199 / $1,299 / €1,299 / AU$1,799 Shimano Power LR for Shimano Ultegra R8000: £949 / $999 / €999 / AU$1,399 Stages Power R for Shimano Dura-Ace 9100: £749 / $749 / €799 / AU$999 Shimano Power R for Shimano Ultegra R8000: £649 / $649 / €699 / AU$899 The remaining stock of Gen 2 Stages Power meters are on sale now with 10 percent off.
