Joyce Takes Arctic Race Of Norway Stage Two Win
With Mathieu Van Der Poel in the leader’s jersey for a second
195km stage from Tana to Kjøllefjord.
Six riders got away and took a four minutes lead with
Evensen taking the first intermediate sprint and Sinder Lunke taking the first
climb before the break dropped to four riders and Lunke took the points on the
second climb to add to his tally in the Salmon Jersey competition.
The break was caught with 38kms to go and Jacob Fuglsang
was first over the next climb.
The Astana rider went clear with Bettiol and Chernetski and
they were still thirty seconds ahead with eight kilometres left.
However, the peloton caught them and it was American
Colin Joyce of Rally Cycling who sprinted to victory in 4.20.24 with Chernetski
