The Danish rider, Jakob Fuglsang (Astana Pro Team), has won the fifth stage of the 54th edition of the Race of the Two Seas, 180km from Colli del Metauro to Recanati, ahead of Adam Yates (Mitchelton – Scott) and Primoz Roglic (Team Jumbo – Visma). Today was my turn to go from the distance. Luckily it worked out. I wanted to win this stage for Michele Scarponi and his wife who visited us yesterday.”   The Maglia Azzurra, Adam Yates, said: “I said yesterday this was gonna be the hardest stage of the race and it was. I came close to the win but Fuglsang was on another level. I realized Roglic was hurting a little bit.
